PROSIDIUM™

The New Era of Feed Biosecurity

PROSIDIUM™ is a next-generation feed sanitizer innovatively engineered to strengthen feed biosecurity and control pathogens. It is formulated with a synergistic blend of proprietary synthesized peroxypropionic acids and organic acids, delivering superior antimicrobial activity and safeguarding the feed against harmful pathogens. PROSIDIUM™ effectively decontaminates feed by killing Salmonella and other pathogens, while the residual acids offer protection against recontamination.

1. Highly Effective:

Demonstrates superior antimicrobial efficacy compared to conventional organic acid-based feed sanitizers.

2. Versatile Application:

Suitable for use in raw materials and various types of feed.

3. Broad Spectrum Inhibition Efficacy:

Unique mode of action effective against a wide range of bacterial pathogens and viruses, including Salmonella, E. coli, ASFV, and PEDV.

4. Residual Protection:

Ensures feed and feed ingredients remain protected from pathogen contamination and recontamination along the feed-to-farm chain.

Distinct Mode of Action Delivers Superior Antimicrobial Activity

PROSIDIUM™ features a highly distinctive mode of action compared to conventional organic acid-based feed sanitizers. Organic acids penetrate bacterial cells and may dissociate into ions, disrupting cellular metabolism.

PROSIDIUM™ works differently, targeting Salmonella and pathogens through a more direct approach using three key mechanisms.

Potent Virucidal Effect

Beyond bacterial pathogens, the PROSIDIUM™ actives have demonstrated strong virucidal effects against viral pathogens, including the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) and the Modified Vaccinia virus Ankara (MVA, surrogate virus for the African Swine Fever Virus— ASFV).

Feed Safety

A Critical Pillar in Building a Robust Biosecurity Network

Building a strong biosecurity network plays a crucial role in preventing pathogens from entering farms and protecting animals from infections. Feed represents one important pillar of the biosecurity plan because:

1. Feed is a significant risk factor from outside the farm with which the animals have the most contact.

2. Feed and feed ingredients can come from various sources, complicating the identification of potential pathogen contamination points.

3. Pathogen contamination can occur during transport or storage.

Feed has been proven to be a transmission route for infectious diseases. If pathogens enter the feed supply chain, chances of infection are high, as animals are exposed to feed multiple times each day.
