Dr. Zhilin Gan

President, Animal Nutrition and Health – China

Dr. Zhilin Gan is president of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – China a position he has held since joining the company in 2004. Dr. Gan has led the growth and development of Kemin’s animal nutrition and health business in China, where he has assembled a high-performing team and created an organizational culture that encourages innovation.

Dr. Gan has led Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – China to great achievement in China. Under his leadership, Kemin China has been awarded “The Best Employer in China's Animal Husbandry and Feed Industry” in 2023. Kemin China was also recognized by Zhuhai Government as “The Leading Agricultural Enterprise of Zhuhai” and won “Public Charity Promotion Enterprise Award” by China Animal Husbandry and Feed Industry.

In 2023, Dr. Gan received the Excellence Management Award in China’s Feed and Animal Husbandry Industry for his profound understanding and application of Chinese and Western management philosophies. He was named "Excellent Entrepreneur" and “Top Ten Emerging Figures in the Development of China’s Feed Industry” in an event marking Thirty Years of Reform in China.

Prior to joining Kemin, Dr. Gan worked at Syngenta Asia Pacific. He was a regional value chain marketing manager in Hong Kong before taking over management of Syngenta Asia Pacific’s commercial business unit in China.

Dr. Gan received both his bachelor’s degree in cereal biochemistry and his master’s degree in cereal science and technology from Zhengzhou Grain College in China. He has a doctorate in food science from King’s College London and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.
