Can you tell us more about your job at Kemin? What does it involve?

It is my responsibility to uncover the most effective ways to apply and utilize Kemin products, particularly the new releases.  It's my duty to determine the best possible application to ensure that the sales team can perform at their peak when dealing with customers.

To effectively utilize new Kemin products, the following steps can be taken:

• Conduct thorough research on the products' chemical composition, properties, and potential benefits.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges.
• Experiment with different application methods to determine the most effective approach.
• Provide training and ongoing support to the sales team on the products and their application.

Kemin is a huge global company, with a local approach. What do you like best about your employer?

Kemin's reputation in the market is indeed commendable, and it is something that the company takes pride in. Do you already have a favorite Kemin segment or product?

When it comes to choosing between new and former innovations, I tend to lean towards the latest technology. I find that previous technology already has a wealth of knowledge, and I don't feel like I can contribute much to it. In addition, I prefer newer innovations for their ease of use and simplicity.

What challenges do you face in your daily work?

Planning is an essential part of any project or task, but it can also be one of the most challenging aspects to navigate. Even with a detailed recipe, procedure, and all the necessary details, there is always a learning curve to consider. As you begin to execute your plan, you may find that some aspects aren't working out as intended. This can be frustrating and may require you to make changes and address the issue in a different way.

Flexibility is key when it comes to planning. It's important to have a solid plan in place, but you must also be willing to adapt and make changes as needed. This can involve rethinking your approach, adjusting your timeline, or even seeking advice or assistance externally. Embracing change and being open to new ideas can help you overcome the challenges of planning and ultimately lead to a more successful outcome. Remember, the journey to success is rarely a straight line, but with persistence and flexibility, you can overcome any obstacle.

What inspired you to pursue a career in this field?

After dedicating more than two decades to the food ingredient industry, it's natural to feel the urge to expand horizons and venture into uncharted territories. At some point you need to get out of your comfort zone and embrace the new challenges if you still want to grow. Whether it's a new technology, a novel ingredient, or an entirely different field, the possibilities are endless. The journey may be daunting, but the destination is worth the effort.

What skills do you think are essential for success in this position?

When it comes to achieving success, persistence is key. This is especially true when traveling to different countries, as it can be challenging to adapt to local cultures and customs. However, it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to adjust your approach and attitude when necessary. Embracing new experiences and opportunities can open new doors and lead to success beyond your wildest dreams. Whether it's learning a new language, trying new foods, or making new connections, taking advantage of all the best opportunities available is essential for achieving success in life. With determination and a positive attitude, anything is possible.

How do you plan to contribute to the company's culture and values?

Kemin's scientific approach is undoubtedly remarkable, and the company's innovative research and development strategies have yielded impressive results. However, science is not the only aspect of the industry. The practical application of scientific discoveries is equally important. This is where my pragmatic outlook can come into play. I believe that a connection between the scientific and real worlds is essential to create a successful product or service. My straightforward approach can help bridge that gap between theory and practice.

How do you like spending your time outside of work?

As much as I enjoy pursuing my interests, I also have a responsibility to my family. That's why I make it a point to spend quality time with them. Some of my passions include traveling, not just for work, but also for the pleasure of exploring new places. I'm also a sports enthusiast, both as a spectator and a participant. I frequently visit the stadium to cheer on my favorite team, Parma. While I used to play beach volleyball at a decent level. I have a deep appreciation for music and love playing the guitar. I enjoy attending concerts whenever I can. Finally, I value socializing with friends and indulging in drinks.

If you could learn any skill overnight, what would it be?

The idea of being able to read minds has long been a fascination for humans. It would be a powerful tool in understanding the true intentions of those around us. No longer would we have to guess what someone is thinking or feeling. We could simply read their thoughts and adjust our actions accordingly. This ability could be particularly useful in situations such as negotiations, where understanding the other party's true position is crucial.

If you could only eat one type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If there's one food that I truly appreciate for its versatility, it's rice. There are countless ways to prepare it, making it a perfect addition to any meal. In fact, if I had to choose just one dish to eat for the rest of my life, I could prepare rice in so many ways to keep it interesting.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?

I would love to have the chance to engage in conversation with some of history's greatest minds, like Leonardo Da Vinci or Galileo Galilei. Or perhaps, some of music's most iconic figures like the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. As a child, I had great admiration for our beloved president, Sandro Pertini, and I also would like to talk with him.
