A potential customer was experiencing unexpected delays when dealing with their organic rosemary supplier, who was located abroad. They needed a domestic supplier of organic rosemary who could provide a consistent supply for their processed meat product, but they also needed to match the rosemary’s performance exactly, in order to keep their product’s exact same texture and taste profile.

Tried, true and transparent: rosemary extract-based ingredients

As one of the only domestic sources of organic rosemary, we are able to offer our new customer our domestic, certified sustainable line of tried and tested rosemary extract-based ingredients. No unexpected customs delays equal consistent availability and a quick lead time.

Tailor-made and fine-tuned

Beyond simply providing an equivalent product, our tailor-made solution was fine-tuned to our customer’s needs, matching performance to keep the exact same texture & taste profile—without requiring other formulation changes. We conducted technical evaluations of the raw materials in their previous and potential products, so the customer would know exactly what they were buying from us. Our Customer Lab Services team helped them conduct and evaluate sensory testing at our facilities, showing results right down to the consumer/end user.

But wait, there’s more. Our certified sustainable rosemary also supported our customer’s own brand messaging, staying within their brand guiderails, with the transparency they require. And, by switching to a domestic rosemary extract-based ingredient to protect their product, our customer is no longer at risk of international currency rate fluctuations.

We’re always looking for what’s new: from tinkering with molecules to find the optimal solution to a shelf life challenge, to finding new ways to meet our customers’ needs. In addition to finding a better solution for our customer’s needs, we were also able to work with the customer on creative stocking and payment terms.
