The pelleting process is one of the costliest components of manufacturing pelleted feed. Pellets must facilitate optimal resource consumption, promote digestibility and maximize nutrient availability for livestock.
In addition to selecting the right ingredients and appropriate nutrient ratios, factors like particle size, conditioning and pelleter specifications are critical, to minimize feed ingredient waste. This process is further complicated by certain crucial nutritional ingredients, which do not lend themselves to good pelleting performance.
Over the years we have developed a deep understanding of the underlying chemical and compounding principles required to produce the optimal pellet.
