Rubens Castro

President, Animal Nutrition and Health – South America

Rubens Castro, President of Kemin Animal Nutrition and Health – South American, joined Kemin in May of 2023. He has more than 25 years of experience in senior management roles, governance, commercial and technical sales, in companies such as, Marco, PureCircle, Firmenich, Kerry, DSM, Fortitech, Frutarom, Bayer, and Harmann & Reimer.

He brings a deep knowledge in planning and executing B2B commercial and marketing strategy. He also has extensive experience in managing medium and large businesses, responsible for full P&L, building strong relationships with customers and employees. Castro has strong experience in business restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions processes.

He has a passion for engaging and motivating people across multifunctional and multicultural teams.  His international experience has been based in the UK, serving EMEA, Asia, North America, and Africa.

Rubens has degrees in Chemistry, as well as Pharmacy and Biochemistry. He got his MBA in International Business Management at Fundacao Getulio Vargas. Rubens is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
