The indirect cost percentage paid to the contracted institution of higher education by Kemin Human Nutrition and Health is based on the average ranking obtained from three world university ranking systems, (i) The World University Rankings by Times Higher Education, (ii) Academic Ranking of World Universities, and (iii) QS World University Rankings. The determination of the indirect cost to be paid is a tiered system described in the below table:
Ranking | IDC % Paid |
---|---|
≥ 301 (or ranking not available) | 15% |
201-300 | 25% |
101-200 | 35% |
≤ 100 | 45% |
Occasionally within the ranking systems above, the ranking is noted as a range. For the institutions for which this occurs, the median ranking of the range will be used to calculate the average. In situations where institutions are not ranked on all three scales, those ranking(s) that are available will be used to determine the average/median. Finally, for those institutions that are not ranked in any of the above-mentioned systems, an indirect cost of 15% will be paid.
If you have any questions about the indirect cost structure outlined above, please call Kelli Herrlinger (515)-559-5595.
