Carotenoids, also known as pigments, are often used in commercial egg production to optimize the egg yolk color and lutein nutrition. The addition of lutein increases the nutritional value of the eggs.

Through its Customer Laboratory Services (CLS), Kemin offers its customers complimentary tests to validate the color and lutein values in the egg yolks. CLS analyzes feed ingredients to compare the consistency of color and lutein levels to each customer's carotenoid specification.

KEM GLO™ has a stabilized orange/red color from paprika peppers. Combine KEM GLO™ and ORO GLO™ to achieve the desired, darker egg yolk color.
