Maintain Finished Animal Feed Integrity with Kemin Solutions

Livestock and poultry producers and feed manufacturers alike put significant effort into ensuring feed products reach animals at their full nutritional potential and quality. To help producers and manufacturers maintain finished animal feed integrity, Kemin has developed additional solutions to aid this goal. By researching and developing a variety of organic acid blends and mineral flow-agent formulations, Kemin now offers a line of products to inhibit mold and wild yeast growth, extend storage life, reduce total mixed ration (TMR) heating and more within animal feed.

Myco CURB® Liquid and Myco CURB® Dry Mold Inhibitors

Feed is the single largest cost input in production and moldy grain costs money, time, productivity and undue stress. Knowing this, Kemin tested, evaluated and perfected various organic acid combinations before arriving at the formulation for Myco CURB. Myco CURB contains propionic, sorbic and benzoic acids blended together with surfactants for better dispersion and an effective buffer for added equipment safety. Since launching Myco CURB in the 1980's, this non-corrosive mold inhibitor changed how feed and feed ingredients are handled. By controlling spoilage organisms, Myco CURB gives producers a cost-effective management tool to increase production by wasting less feed in their operations.

TOXFIN™

TOXFIN is a carefully selected blend of unique activated adsorbents that bind mycotoxins along the length of the gastrointestinal tract.  TOXFIN will reduce the bioavailability of feed mycotoxins in the gastro-intestinal tract and promote mycotoxin excretion from the animal body. TOXFIN counteracts negative effect of mycotoxins both via direct binding of target mycotoxins and reducing synergistic effect between mycotoxins.

Industry Standards—Solutions Driven, Customer Committed

Kemin pioneered the use of blended organic acids in the feed industry. Since committing to the prestigious Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked certifications at its Des Moines, Iowa, manufacturing facility in February 2013, Kemin has remained a leader in the production of safe, quality ingredients. The recognition also reinforces the company's investment in good manufacturing practices and food safety long before those standards are required by the industry. Kemin offers a wide range of nutritional solutions for raising healthy animals by understanding customers want to raise healthy livestock and poultry while also returning a profit.
