Kemin has been selling ingredients to companies in Asia since the 1960s. In 1988, the company established a regional headquarters by leasing a facility in Singapore to manufacture mold inhibitors, antioxidants and flavors. By 1993, Kemin had outgrown the leased facility and purchased a larger facility where Kemin could manufacture products and conduct day-to-day operations.
Today, the regional headquarters in Singapore consists of manufacturing, research, and administration with regional offices in Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Growth in both the feed and food industries required Kemin to lease a second facility in Singapore in 2011 where the company now manufactures food ingredients.
